Bat Mitzvah. It's More than Just a Party.

It's About Who She's Becoming

Ask most girls what a Bat Mitzvah means, and you’ll hear about the party, the dress, maybe even the speech. But beneath it all, there’s a deeper question: What does this actually mean for me? And what does being Jewish have to do with my life right now?

That’s where Bat Mitzvah Club comes in.

BMC is here to give the party some depth. At fun meetups led by a warm, relatable leader, girls talk about real stuff—friendships, phones, body changes, values—through a Jewish lens that actually fits their world.

No lectures. No fluff. Just honest conversations and hands-on experiences where being Jewish feels personal and relevant.

It’s a way for her to move forward knowing what Bat Mitzvah means—not just what to say in a speech, and not just dressed up, but genuinely lit up from the inside.

What's This All About

Becoming Bat Mitzvah isn’t just a ceremony — it’s a transformation. At this age, girls are thinking deeper, feeling more, and starting to ask some big questions.

That’s exactly when BMC meets them—in that in-between space where childhood fades and something more begins.

Each meeting brings real talk, creativity, discovery — and of course, food, fun, and friends — diving into what it means to evolve: body, soul, and everything in between.

One week you’re making a soul vision board to connect with your Divine spark; another, you’re stepping into the Body Love Lab for authentic convos about growing up and why your body matters. You might journal a personal prayer or crack open a Confidence Capsule packed with Jewish wisdom and inner strength. And when we explore Israel — Part of Who I Am, girls begin to feel just that: personally connected to their people, their story, and their land.

Every session leaves you with something to take home — a truth, a tool, or just a little extra glow.

Worldwide Network.
Local impact.

The BMC phenomenon has touched more than six continents, 30 countries and thousands of girls. With hundreds of BMC chapters worldwide, it’s safe to say that our girls have Jewish friends across the globe that they can connect with them in a real way. Our cultures may differ, but our hearts beat as one BMC.

To Join the Bat Mitzvah Club, find a BMC near you on the Worldwide Network. If there isn’t one yet, reach out to your local Chabad to start one!

What the Girls Get

BMC gives girls a memorable way to explore what it really means to grow up Jewish. Here’s what she’ll take with her:

01

Tools

To make strong choices, even when it’s hard.

02

Connection

To her roots, her soul, and what being Jewish means to her.

03

Communication

About things that matter — body, mind, emotions, and beyond.

04

Support

From girls who get it and a leader who gets her.

05

Self-Esteem

The kind that sticks — not surface, but soul-deep.

Who are BMC Leaders?

BMC Leaders are that rare kind of person—young enough to get what it’s like to be 11 or 12, but wise enough to be a real guide. They’re not a mom, not a teacher, not a therapist…but somehow feel like the best parts of all three.

Girls look up to them, trust them, and genuinely enjoy being around them. A leader might remember who grabs the sour gummies and make sure they’re there next time. She notices when someone’s hanging back and gently draws her in.

Bring BMC to your Chabad House and give tween girls a place to grow and connect — right when they need it most.

What Moms are Saying

5/5

"Thanks to the Bat Mitzvah Club we have seen small but steady spiritual growth in Emunah (faith) from our daughter, Emily, who has started to go to attend Synagogue. Emily lights candles weekly and encourages our sons to pray with Tefilin. We are very grateful to the BMC Leader and her warm approach to our daughter."

5/5

“My daughter, Stephanie Kattan, participated in the Bat Mitzvah program last year, led by Esther Rader and it was an incredibly meaningful experience. Through the program, Stephanie gained a deep understanding of what it means to be a Jewish woman. Esther made each lesson engaging and enjoyable, creating a warm and inclusive environment that fostered both learning and personal growth. The activities were always creative and fun, and the girls had the opportunity to bond and learn together. Esther’s knowledge and her positive influence on my daughter were truly impactful, helping her embrace Jewish values with confidence. My younger daughter, Sophie, began the program this year and is already enjoying it immensely. I highly recommend this program to anyone seeking a thoughtful and enriching experience.
