Bat Mitzvah. It's More than Just a Party.

It's About Who She's Becoming

Ask most girls what a Bat Mitzvah means, and they’ll mention the party, the dress, maybe the speech. But beneath it all is a deeper question: What does this actually mean for me? And what does being Jewish have to do with my life right now?

That’s where Bat Mitzvah Club comes in.

BMC gives the party some depth. At fun, welcoming meetups led by a relatable guide, girls talk about real stuff: friendships, phones, body changes, values, all through a Jewish lens that actually fits their world.

No lectures. No fluff. Just real conversations and hands-on experiences that make being Jewish feel personal and relevant.

So she walks into her Bat Mitzvah not just dressed up, but lit up from within.

Girls begin to feel personally connected to their people, their story, and their land.

What's This All About

Becoming Bat Mitzvah Isn't Just a Ceremony. It's a Transformation.

Bat Mitzvah Club (BMC) meets girls right in that in-between stage, when childhood begins to fade and something deeper starts to take shape.

Each meeting brings real talk, creativity, discovery, Jewish wisdom, and of course, food, fun, and friends. Together, we dive into what it means to evolve: body, soul, and everything in between.

One session, they’re creating a Soul Vision Board to connect with their Divine spark. Another, it’s Body & Soul Talks, talking honestly about what’s changing and how to care for themselves inside and out.

From journaling a personal prayer to exploring Israel: Part of Who I Am, girls begin to feel connected to their people, their story, and their land.

We talk. We laugh. We grow. And every meeting sends them home with something real: a truth, a tool, or just a little extra glow.

Worldwide Network.
Local impact.

The BMC phenomenon spans six continents, over 30 countries, and thousands of girls. With hundreds of chapters worldwide, our girls have Jewish friends across the globe that they can connect with them in a real way. Our cultures may differ, but our hearts beat as one BMC.

To join, find a Bat Mitzvah Club near you through our Worldwide Network. If there isn’t one yet, reach out to your local Chabad to start one!

What the Girls Get

BMC gives girls a memorable way to explore what it really means to grow up Jewish. Here’s what she’ll take with her:

01

Tools

Like decision-making skills and ways to stand strong under pressure.

02

Connection

To her roots, her soul, and what being Jewish means to her.

03

Communication

About things that matter — body, mind, emotions, and beyond.

04

Support

From girls who get it and a leader who gets her.

05

Self-Esteem

The kind that sticks, not surface but soul deep.

Who are BMC Leaders?

BMC Leaders are that rare kind of person — young enough to get 11-year-olds, wise enough to guide them.

They’re not a mom, not a teacher, not a therapist… but somehow feel like the best of all three. Girls look up to them, trust them, and love being around them.

A leader remembers who likes sour gummies and makes sure they’re there. She notices the quiet girl and gently draws her in.

Bring BMC to your Chabad House and give tween girls a place to grow and connect and feel proud to be Jewish — right when they need it most. Do you have what it takes to lead?

What Moms are Saying

5/5

"Thanks to the Bat Mitzvah Club we have seen small but steady spiritual growth in Emunah (faith) from our daughter, Emily, who has started to go to attend Synagogue. Emily lights candles weekly and encourages our sons to pray with Tefilin. We are very grateful to the BMC Leader and her warm approach to our daughter."

5/5

“My daughter, Stephanie Kattan, participated in the Bat Mitzvah program last year, led by Esther Rader and it was an incredibly meaningful experience. Through the program, Stephanie gained a deep understanding of what it means to be a Jewish woman. Esther made each lesson engaging and enjoyable, creating a warm and inclusive environment that fostered both learning and personal growth. The activities were always creative and fun, and the girls had the opportunity to bond and learn together. Esther’s knowledge and her positive influence on my daughter were truly impactful, helping her embrace Jewish values with confidence. My younger daughter, Sophie, began the program this year and is already enjoying it immensely. I highly recommend this program to anyone seeking a thoughtful and enriching experience.
